Oceantech Design is an independent, multi-disciplined marine design firm with offices in Adelaide, South Australia and Nelson New Zealand, specialising in the design of commercial fishing and aquaculture vessels in steel and aluminium.

Job tasks and responsibilities

From concept drawings through to sea trials successful applicants will be involved in all areas of the design process.

Skills and experience

Unless a recent graduate, applicants will have a minimum of 1 year experience with a recognised design firm or shipyard in a similar role.

Demonstrated knowledge of class societies, experience in Finite Element Analysis and relevant design standards.

Well-developed design and drafting skills and experience in the use of CAD packages such as AutoCAD and RHINO.

Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, produce reports and operate with an eye for detail

Well-developed communication and team skills with a dedicated approach to meeting customer requirements.
